WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — The Hartford Community Coalition is hosting a community conversation about safety and substance use on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Hotel Coolidge.

The Hartford Police Department’s social worker is slated to provide an overview these issues in town. Those remarks will be followed by discussion.

There also will be a free training in the use of naloxone, also known by the brand name Narcan, and kits will be available. Light refreshments also will be available.
