Claremont — Sherry Carranza and David Pardy have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ana and Frank Perez, of Massapequa, N.Y., and Patrick and Michele Carranza, of Balmsville, N.Y. She graduated from H. Frank Carey High School in Franklin Square, N.Y., in 1986 and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from State University of New York at Brockport, in Brockport, N.Y., in 1994. She earned an associate degree in nursing from River Valley Community College in Claremont in 2011 and a master’s of nursing degree in leadership and healthcare management systems from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She is employed as a registered nurse at the White River Junction VA Medical Center in White River Junction.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Harriet Ross, of Brandon, Vt., and Cornelius Pardy, of Lincoln, N.H. He graduated from Greenwich Junior-Senior High School in Greenwich, N.Y., in 1998 and is employed as a tool and die maker at Design Standards in Charlestown.

The couple live in Claremont and plan a September wedding there.
