FAIRFAX, Va. — The Dartmouth College women’s soccer team extended its season-opening undefeated run by rallying past George Mason, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman forward Hannah Curtin and senior midfielder Tracey Mills each scored in the win.

Dartmouth (3-0-1) trailed, 1-0, after one half of play. George Mason (0-6-0) found the back of the net in the 40th minute to give the Patriots the edge. The Big Green has yet to score a goal in the opening 45 minutes of a match this season.

Dartmouth did not wait long to get on the board in the second half, however. Just four minutes in, Curtin placed a shot into the bottom of the net off an assist from sophomore midfielder Aspen Anderson.

Twenty minutes later, Dartmouth struck again to take the lead. In the 69th minute, Mills found placed the ball past the George Mason goalie thanks to a pass from senior midfielder Maddie Mills to give the Big Green a 2-1 advantage.

Dartmouth returns home on Thursday night for a 7 p.m. contest with Sacred Heart at White Burnham Field.
