Croydon School Board Incumbent Narrowly Loses Seat

Croydon — School Board member Jim Peschke lost re-election to challenger Thomas Moore by a narrow margin, 69-65, in balloted Town Meeting voting on Tuesday.

Candidate Deb Gardner placed a distant third in the race for a three-year seat, with two votes.

The floor portion of Town Meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday with the annual School District meeting to follow at 1 p.m. at Town Hall.
