BETHEL — A 35-year-old Bethel man whose body was found in a tent on Findley Bridge Road in July died of “substance abuse, acute mix intoxication,” Vermont State Police said in a news release Thursday.
The remains of James P. Lumbra were found in the tent around 6:15 p.m. July 15, and the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy.
The death was ruled accidental, the release said. An obituary for Lumbra said his body was found near his mother’s home.
State police said the investigation into his death is ongoing, and anyone with information was asked to call the Royalton barracks at 802-234-9933 or submit an anonymous tip online at http://vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit.
