Fairlee, Vt. — Ann L. Jenks, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at the Brookside Nursing Home in Hartford, Vt. following a period of failing health.

She was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Hanover, N.H. the daughter of Percy and Winifred (Caine) Longworth.

Ann graduated from Hanover High School in 1950 and worked for Dartmouth College for 48 years; in the Alumni Records and later as Office Manager in the Alumni Fund. She retired on Dec. 31, 1998.

She was married in 1951 to Sherwin A. Jenks who she later divorced.

She was Past Matron of Kimball Chapter #38, Order of the Eastern Star and Past Grand Esther of the Grand Chapter of New Hampshire. She was also a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and also a past Grand Representative of Indiana and later Idaho.

She is survived by her son, Richard A. Jenks of Fairlee; two grandchildren, Maura and Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Ashlynn and Jameson; and by several cousins in England.

There will be no calling hours.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Pine Knolls Cemetery of Hanover.
