Rooster, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society
“Hi, my name is Rooster! I am a very intelligent young man who loves to play and learn. I have a lot of energy, so I love to run! A home with a fenced-in yard, or someone who can give me lots of exercise would be best.
“October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. Come in to see me and the other pups Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4. We’re looking for loving families and we want to meet you.”
Rooster is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.
Ivy, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society
“Hi! My name’s Ivy and I’m a 6-year-old spayed female. I came Lucy Mackenzie with a few of my cat friends when our owner became really sick. It was really sad, because I loved her and I had been with her my entire life. It’s OK, though. I know there’s better things right ahead of me.
“While I can first come across as being shy, I’m really not — I’m about as affectionate as they come! I love people, other cats and I even like dogs. I am an easy-going sweetheart that is sure to bring you lots of love and joy. If you’ve been looking for a new deserving feline companion, stop in and meet me today.”
Ivy is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.
Sydney, adotpable from Sullivan County Humane Society
“I am 4-year-old Sydney. My human mom passed away. I was surrendered along with three other cats and am best friends with Sharona. I would like to stay with Sharona as she is shy and needs me.
“My head is always tilted to the side. The vet thinks it is due to a previous trauma and there is nothing that can be done for it. It does not slow me down!
“Please give us a quiet, patient home to blossom in! We are vet checked, spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative.”
Sydney is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.
Jack, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society
“Hi! My name is Jack and I am a 5-year-old mixed breed dog. Although I can be shy at first, once I get to know you you’ll find that I am a sweet and playful guy.
“I would love an active home with someone who will take things slow and help me build my trust with new people, places and things. I will need a home with someone who will help me learn manners and because of this, I require a home with no small children. I also need to be the only dog in my new home.
“If you think I could be the one for you, please come and meet me today!”
Jack is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.
Kellie, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society
“I am 5-year-old Kellie. I was a stray in a neighborhood, and a kind woman took in. Unfortunately, I did not like her other cat and dogs so it did not work. So, here I am.
“I am vet checked, spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FeLV negative. I am FIV positive but that is OK — I can still live a long and wonderful life!”
Kellie is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.
Dexter, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society
“Hi! My name’s Dexter and I’m a 10-year-old Beagle mix hailing from the south. I came to Lucy Mackenzie this past spring, and I must admit that I like it here! Lots of good things have happened. I’ve received some much needed medical treatment and attention. The staff are very kind and take good are of me and my skin, which was really bad before. Maintenance and medication have made me feel so much better!
“I like some dogs — just not all of them. I can’t live in a house with young children or cats. I can and would very much like to live in a home with people that know I’m a Beagle, that I’m older and require a little more maintenance.
“If you have room in your home and heart for an older guy in need of a break, stop in and meet me today!”
Dexter is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.
