Bella, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society

“Hi! My name is Bella and I’m a 2-year-old spayed female mixed nreed. I was adopted as a puppy from Lucy Mackenzie and returned because it wasn’t the right household for me.

“Since I’ve been back at Lucy Mackenzie, we’ve been working hard on building my confidence, and finding healthy ways to get my energy out. I’ve been doing lots of new things, including meeting strangers, having lots of walks and play time outdoors, and even going through obedience training classes with one of my favorite people.

“From what I understand, it’s important for me to be safely exposed to new environments and people, to help me feel more confident. My ideal home is one where there are no cats (sorry, cats), no young children (sorry, young children), and adults that are willing to help me grow and be consistent in my training. It would be a definite plus if you like to go on long walks, too.

“If you’ve been looking to adopt a dog, and have the patience needed to help me succeed, stop in and meet me today!”

Bella is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.

Tae, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society

“I am 4-year-old Tae. I am one of the surviving 12 from the horrific ‘Abandoned 14’ case in Claremont in November 2017. I was near death when we were found and rushed to the vet, where I remained in intensive care for days.

“Fortunately, I recovered fully and am a super sweet lovebug. I so deserve a loving, caring family of my own!

“I am vet checked, spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative!”

Tae is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email
