Mahalo, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie
“Hi! My name is Mahalo and I’m a 3-year-old neutered male white German Shepherd.
“I originally came from the south and was adopted not long after arriving. I loved living in my new home with my new family, but things were becoming a little complicated. My family tried so hard to train me to not bolt as soon as I saw an open door, but I just can’t help it. I’m a runner and I love it! For that fact, my new home will need a safely fenced in yard. Also, I lived in a neighborhood with lots of other dogs, and I became very protective of my family, which made things uncomfortable when other dogs came near the property. I could potentially live with another dog, as long as it was a good fit!
“I do really well with older dog-savvy children. I would love to find somebody that will continue my training with me, as I’ve come such a far way, and with somebody that is active and looking for an adventurous canine partner.
“I’m a really great dog that just needs to find the right match. If you’ve been looking for a new canine best friend and think we might be a good match, stop in and meet me today!”
Mahalo is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.
Baby, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society
“Hi there, my name is Baby. I am a beautiful 5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix. I am a confident lady who loves to be outside as much as possible. I enjoy playing with toys and like to be around people.
“I cannot live with cats, and the only dog I get along with is my son, Buddy. (He’s available, too, if you’d like to adopt both of us!) Come in to meet me today!”
Baby is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.
Gail, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society
“I am 5-year-old Gail. My mom walked into the shelter and said, ‘I do not want this cat anymore,’ and then left me. I am not sure why; I’m a good girl. I did have horrible fleas and over half my body was bald from a flea allergy, but that is not my fault. Please give me a loving, forever home!
“I am vet checked, spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative!”
Gail is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.
