HARTFORD

Coach: Michael Barata (1)

Last year: Fourth at VPA state tournament.

Returners: Senior — Connor Rice; Juniors — Thomas Gross, Jack Grigsby; Sophomore — Coleman Waters.

Newcomers: Junior — Logan White; Freshmen — Benjamin Potter, Triv-Ann Maharaj, Sophia Barry, Kaitlyn Nichols.

Outlook: The year’s team features the first three girls to join the program in Maharaj, Barry and Nichols. “I believe we have a great opportunity to improve on last year’s finish.” Barata said.

LEBANON

Coach: Mike Anikis (6)

Last year: 21st (out of 33) at the state qualifying tournament.

Returners: Juniors — Hannah Giguere, Caleb Swinson.

Newcomers: Senior — Ben Nelson; Junior — David Champagne; Freshmen — Connor Noyes, Zach Illsley.

Outlook: Preseason trips to both Mascoma and Crystal Lake went well. “We have a good mix of experience and newcomers,” Anikis said.

MASCOMA

Coach: Eric Moulton (4)

Last year: Third at NHIAA state championship event.

Returners: Juniors — Tanner Moulton, Peyton Sargent.

Newcomers: Freshman — Maliky Bates.

Outlook: The Royals are down in numbers, but are coming off back-to-back third-place finishes at the state tournament. The two returning anglers (Tanner Moulton and Peyton Sargent) have plenty of experience for this small squad, which hopes to grow its numbers as the school year gets underway.

THETFORD

Coach: Shane West (2)

Last year: 11th at the Vermont state championship.

Returners: Juniors — Ethan West, Casey Gross; Sophomore — Dylan Campbell; Freshman — Adam Braley.

Newcomers: Sophomore — Adam Frasher; Freshman — Masson Gross. Eighth grade; Wyatt Harlow, Lincoln Smith.

Outlook: “I’m very excited to have this up-and-coming team; it’s a great group of kids,” West said.
