Newport Middle High School’s National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society host an annual breakfast and ceremony for military veterans near Veterans Day. Marine Corps veteran Paul Stoddard, who works at the school, said the event is a way to show appreciation to veterans in the community, many who are school staff, parents, and local public service workers.
