BRADFORD, Vt. — Out of eight applicants, the Bradford Selectboard appointed two previous members to fill vacancies left after two board members resigned earlier this month.

The three remaining Selectboard members appointed Carole Taylor and Randy Moore at the Oct. 24 meeting, filling the vacancies left by Ryan Lockwood and Nikki Stevens.

Lockwood and Stevens resigned from the board two weeks prior to the appointments. In separate resignation letters, they cited the board’s resistance to change and prejudice in the municipal government.

Stevens unseated Taylor at Town Meeting in 2023 after Taylor had been on the board for about 12 years and Moore stepped down in 2021 after serving about 15 years.

Taylor and Moore have been appointed to serve until elections are held at Town Meeting in March.
