WEST HARTFORD, VT — Theresa F. Kenison, 83, died Sunday August 11, 2019 at home in West Hartford, VT.

She was born December 17, 1935 in Boston, MA one of nine children of Herbert and Pauline (Backman) Livingston. Theresa grew up in Boston before moving to White River Jct. as a teenager and began working at JJ Newberry’s. She was married to Wendell Kenison December 27, 1953 in White River Jct. They purchased a home in West Hartford in 1956 where they raised their family of five children and have lived for the past 63 years. Theresa worked from home caring for their children and when they were old enough she would often go to work with Wendell helping him in his painting and wallpapering business.

Theresa enjoyed spending time in the garden, both flowers and vegetable. She spent many hours canning and freezing the food she had grown for her family and to share with others. She and Wendell spent as much time as they could with family and friends at the camp they built together in Canaan, VT. She also loved her German Shepherds and cats.

She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers Robert, John and James Livingston.

She leaves her husband of 65 years, Wendell, of West Hartford; three daughters Penni Dawson, Judy Kenison and Wanda Kenison all of West Hartford; two sons Wendell E. Kenison Jr. of Bradford, VT and Herbert Kenison of West Hartford; four grandchildren Amber Ray, Derek Kenison, Garrett Kenison and Jason Dawson; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters Pauline Donavan of Hanover, MA, Patricia Eklund of Carver, MA, Diana Francis of Scituate, MA and Susan Livingston of Hanover, MA; a brother Thomas Livingston of Norwell, MA and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Theresa will be held at a time and place to be announced at a later date.
