WHITE RIVER JCT., VT — Rosalie E. Day, 81, died Monday evening, March 11, 2019 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. She was born December 28, 1937in Spokane, Washington the daughter of Granville and Thelma Fay (Burch) Byrd. Rosalie married Harold Jeffers and they lived in Indiana. Later in 1984 she was married to Gordon Day of Sharon, Vermont. Throughout her life Rosalie lived in several places around the United States including Florida, Washington, Indiana and most recently Vermont. She was a stay at home mom while her children were young and a dedicated volunteer in her retirement years. She was an accomplished painter, an incredible artist and enjoyed reading, bird watching and seeing butterflies. During her later years she enjoyed volunteering at the Bugbee Senior Center where she donated not only her time but also countless items for the Christmas Bazar and other fund raising projects. Rosalie also enjoyed her dear friends at a local Bible Study. She was predeceased by three sisters and her husband Gordon who died in 2000. Rosalie is survived by a son, Mark Jeffers of Portland, OR, two daughters, Lisa Rigg-LaFrancois of Wolcott, CT and Phyllis Greene of Terre Haute, IN, two step sons, Charles Day and Curt Doyle, two step daughters, Stephanie Bass and Zenda Doyle, many grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held later in the springtime in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Sharon, VT.
