Ronald K. "Bob" Trussell

NORWICH, VT — Ronald K. “Bob” Trussell, 83, died Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Lebanon Center Genesis in Lebanon, NH. Bob was born June 19, 1935 in Fairlee, VT a son of Kenneth and Margaret (MacMillan) Trussell. He grew up in Fairlee and left school to work in the saw mill and later the Strafford Copper Mine, to help the family make ends meet. In April of 1958 he was drafted by the Army and served honorably until discharged in April of 1960. Bob was married to Madelene Estes August 22, 1959 in Lyme, NH. They made their home in Norwich, VT where they raised their three children. Bob went to work for Dartmouth printing where he worked for over forty years until retiring. At the same time he had a landscaping business that he enjoyed working. After retirement Bob kept busy as an attendant at the Norwich Transfer Station for many years. Bob enjoyed working on equipment and maintaining it. He enjoyed antique cars, watching NASCAR, NFL Football and was a passionate Ford owner. He will always be remembered for his work ethic and being a hard worker. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Madelene; two brothers Bruce and Roger Trussell; and a sister Jackie Brown. Bob is survived by a son Ben Trussell and his wife Alice of Orford, NH; two daughters, Audrey Streeter and her husband Bruce of Orford and Lori Ballou and her companion Dennis Smith of Tunbridge; two grand daughters Tiffaney Trussell and Tacia Vanasse and her husband William; two grandsons Travis Streeter and Lucas Streeter; and two brothers Paul Trussell of Piermont, NH and Larry Trussell of Canaan, NH. Visiting hours will be held Monday, April 8 at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction from 6-8pm. A graveside service will be held Friday May 10 at 2pm in the Hillside Cemetery in Norwich.
