Hanover boys finish the regular season undefeated

Key players: Hanover — Charlie Forbush, Jai Gregory and Hayden Clapp took the top three spots. Reese Hamlin took the top spot among the girls. Lebanon — Helena Mielcarz finished 3rd among the girls.

Highlights: The Hanover boys finish undefeated on the sesason. Coach Tom Dodds says he has enjoyed watching the team’s three veteran seniors — Schuyler Clapp, Jai Gregory and Charlie Forbush — over the last 4 years. In that span they have won 3 state championships and lost only a single shorthanded meet in 2022.

Coach’s quote: “I encourage folks to come out and watch them fly as we host the state championship at the Roger Burt jump (at Oak Hill) on Feb 13. (With snow in the offing, the backup date is Feb 14.)” — Hanover’s Tom Dodds

Boys Basketball

Springfield 54, Woodstock 51

Key players: Springfield — Bradley Gallant (15 points); Oliver Kelly (13 points); Jameer Cosby (10 points) Woodstock — Elvis Lavallee (18 points); Aksel Oates (14 points)

Coach’s quote: “The boys played hard and let a lead slip away on the road. Give credit to Springfield as they turned up their defensive pressure in the second half and our guys lost the momentum and could never get it back.” — Woodstock’s Scott Brooks
