Local roundup: Woodstock girls hockey rolls over South Burlington
WOODSTOCK — The Woodstock High girls hockey team got a pair of goals and two assists from Kassidy Haley and two goals and an assist from Gracelyn Lapere in 6-0 win over South Burlington on Friday night.
Isabel Konijnenberg and Laura Audsley also tallied, with Konjinenberg and Hannah Gubbins adding two assists each. After a scoreless first period, the Wasps scored four times in the second to break the game open.
Woodstock (6-2) is at Stowe on Saturday.
HILLSBORO, N.H. — The Tigers made it two in a row as Taylor Fellows scored 18 and Maddox Lovely 12.
Newport took a nine point lead into halftime, then the Hillcats closed within four, 29-25 after three quarters. But they got no closer after that. Brooklyn Ranney added seven for Newport.
Newport (2-5) at Fall Mountain on Wednesday.
HANOVER — Nine Bears scored on the night, led by Sydney McLaughlin's 16 and by a career-high 10 for Nina Marshall.
Hanover held the winless Blue Knights scoreless in the first quarter and led 28-6 at halftime.

NORTHWOOD, N.H. — Lebanon (1-7) is home to Merrimack Valley on Friday.
QUECHEE — Joel Roberts hit seven 3-pointers on his way to a 31-point night as the Eagles improved to 7-2.
Also for Mid Vermont, Roman Goeppner had 16 points, Abel Goodwin scored 11 with 17 rebounds and Carson Meloon added 14.
Sharon (1-6) is at Christ Covenant on Tuesday, while Mid Vermont travels to Proctor on Saturday.
LEBANON — The Raiders went into the break tied at 24, but the offense sputtered in the third quarter, scoring just two points and could not recover.
Dawson Bates led Lebanon with 14 points, Nick Brill and Talan Patkul had 10 apiece and Chase Adams added eight to complete the Raiders’ scoring.
Lebanon (3-5) is at Merrimack Valley next Friday.
NEWPORT — The rapidly-improving Tigers picked up their second win of the week behind another 33-point effort from Stevens transfer Kayden LaClair.
Aaron Fellows added 16 points for Newport and Gabe Howe chipped in with 12, more than enough to overcome 29 points from the Hillcats’ Zack Coombs.
The Tigers (3-4) are at Fall Mountain on Wednesday.
MANCHESTER — The Bears remain winless at 0-8 and will be at Sanborn on Friday.
SOUTH POMFRET — The Wasps’ two captains each finished first in their respective races on Thursday, with Chloe Masillo taking the girls’ crown and Bode Wood topping the boys’ field. The girls finished second to Burr & Burton as a team while the boys were second to Rutland. Thetford took third in the girls’ event.
Other Woodstock female racers were Annesonia Beardsley (11th), Claudia Shoemaker (12th), Olivia Grasso (15th) and Maggie Pierce (18th). For the boys, Ben Johnsen finished eighth, Owen Cross nin
