HANOVER — The Hanover High boys soccer team beat Merrimack, 4-0, on Monday at Merriman-Branch Field, the Bears’ second straight win after suffering a three-game losing streak.

Carter Guerin had a goal and two assists and Sean Smith posted a goal and an assist. Andrew McGuire and Sam Calderwood also scored for Hanover, which improved to 5-4-0 while dropping Merrimack to 2-6-1.

The Bears led, 2-0, at halftime. Calderwood’s tally was the first of his career. His team held a 22-7 shot advantage and took 10 of the NHIAA Division I clash’s 11 corner kicks. Ty Nolon made four saves for the hosts.

Hanover, 11th in the 22-team division, hosts Goffstown (1-6-1) on Friday.

Kearsarge 3, Mascoma 1

WEST CANAAN — Zach Thompson scored for the Royals (7-2-0) in their NHIAA Division III loss to the Cougars (7-2-0). Mascoma hosts Raymond (3-3) on Saturday.

Winnisquam 5, Stevens 2

TILTON, N.H. — The Cardinals suffered their fourth consecutive loss and have been outscored 18-4 during that stretch. Stevens is at Brattleboro on Thursday.

FIELD HOCKEY Stevens 4, Monadnock 0

CLAREMONT — The Cardinals were sparked by Richelle Girard’s two goals and an assist and improved to 7-2-0. Taylor Bell and Lilly Clark also scored.

Stevens hosts Mascenic (5-1-0) on Thursday.

Winnisquam 2, Mascoma 1 (OT)

TILTON, N.H. — The Royals fell to 3-5-0 despite pulling into a fourth-quarter tie on Ann Buffington’s goal. Winnisquam improved to 4-4-0. Mascoma hosts Kearsarge (3-5-0) on Saturday.

GOLF Raiders victorious at Eastman

GRANTHAM — Lebanon’s Roy Shapard shot a 38 to earn medalist honors at the Eastman Golf Links and push the Raiders to 19-2.

Other scorers for the hosts were Ben Britton (51), Sam Bates (45), Dawson Bates (46) and Alex Blish (47). Lebanon is at Laconia on Wednesday.

Team scores: Lebanon 76, Pelham 64, Plymouth 60, Sanborn 35.

Cardinals led By Herzog

NEW LONDON — Aubree Herzog carded a 46 to lead Stevens to third place in a four-school match.

Also scoring for Stevens at the Lake Sunapee Country Club were Cedric Allen (47), Lydia Redman (50), Elli Girard (57) and Josh Petrin (58).

The Cardinals (5-14) host Plymouth and John Stark on Tuesday.

Team scores: Coe-Brown 77, Kearsarge 60, Stevens 50, Laconia 20.

VOLLEYBALL Sunapee 3, Mascoma 0

WEST CANAAN — The Royals were shut out for the third consecutive match and fell to 1-4. Sunapee improved to 4-2. Mascoma visits Trinity (3-4) on Tuesday.
