KEENE, N.H. — The Hanover High girls hockey team cruised over Keene on Sunday afternoon, routing the Blackbirds 9-0 to remain unbeaten. Sophomore Maeve Lee scored twice for HHS (4-0), while freshman Nora Bradley, senior Greta Schultz, freshman Rachel Rockmore, junior Mackenzie Liu, sophomore Rory Seelig and freshman Faith Lindsay all scored as well. Bradley also had three assists and Lee and Schultz each recorded two.
Hanover’s game on Monday at Beekmantown Central has been postponed, so HHS is off until a rivalry matchup with Lebanon on Friday.
BOYS HOCKEY Bedford 5, Hanover 4 WEST LEBANON — The Bulldogs’ Maddox May scored the game-winning goal with 26 seconds remaining as Hanover dropped a heartbreaker.
HHS (4-4) got goals from junior Jack Stadheim, sophomore Wyat Seelig, senior Van Bailey and senior Curtis Rice. Stadheim and Bailey both scored on the power play, while Seelig’s goal came with Hanover shorthanded.
“Down a couple key players, we showed a lot of heart tonight,” Hanover coach Dick Dodds said. “Nice to see our offense come alive in the past two games.”
Hanover hosts Bow on Saturday.
