SWIMMINGRaynolds honored by Univ. of Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The University of Buffalo has dedicated its Alumni Arena Pool and Natatorium in the memory of the late Dorsi Raynolds, the onetime coach of White River Junction’s Upper Valley Aquatic Center.

Raynolds coached the Buffalo program from 1992-2005, leading the Bulls to 67 dual meet wins and placing 70 athletes on all-conference teams. She also was named the Mid-Continent Conference coach of the year for three straight years (1996-98) while the program was part of that league.

Buffalo renamed the facility the Dorsi Raynolds Competition Pool. Raynolds, who died from cancer in 2018, coached professionally for 32 years, the last 10 of her life at UVAC.
