HANOVER — The Hanover High field hockey program’s NHIAA Division II state championship this fall recently netted a batch of fresh honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Senior goaltender Ella Edmonds topped the list by earning a spot on the NFHCA All-American second team. Edmonds, who will join the field hockey program at Brown University this autumn, posted 11 shutouts during the Marauders’ 14-1-1 season, including clean sheets in Hanover’s semifinal and championship victories. She and fellow second-teamer Lindsey Stagg, from Derryfield, were the only northern New Englanders to make any of the NFHCA’s three All-American rosters.
Additionally, Edmonds, Hanover senior Macy Curtis and junior teammate Kate Blaisdell made the NFHCA’s all-region team for northern New England. Curtis (seven goals, eight assists; will play collegiately at Davidson) and Blaisdell (15 goals, eight assists) were among Hanover’s top scorers last season. The three joined a 15-player all-region roster and were among more than 150 athletes recognized on the association’s various all-region teams.
Lastly, Hanover received votes for Max Field Hockey’s final New England region rankings. Windham High (No. 11) was New Hampshire’s only top-20 selection, while the Marauders and Concord High both landed just outside the top 20.
Hanover will graduate 10 players from last season’s roster, with Blaisdell — a Windham High transfer — expected to highlight next fall’s squad.

WELLS RIVER, Vt. — Bryce Ilsley scored nine of his game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter, helping Oxbow come back from a three-point deficit entering the final stanza to beat host Blue Mountain.
Ilsley included the last of his four 3-pointers in his fourth-period onslaught and was 4-for-4 from the line.
Jace Page also had a say in the rally, scoring seven of his nine points in the final eight minutes.
Hunter Locke added 12 points for the O’s, who host Rivendell on Saturday.
