PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Freshman Holley Cromwell provided the only goal as the Dartmouth College field hockey team dropped a 5-1 nonleague decision to Providence on Sunday afternoon.

Izzy Mendez scored a pair of goals for the Friars (7-4-0), while three others scored once for the home team.

Cromwell found the back of the cage for her second career goal in the 48th minute to account for all of the scoring by the Big Green (3-7-0).

Meg Barnes picked up an assist on Cromwell’s goal, the second of her career as well.

Sophomore goaltender Isabella Santucci played well in defeat, making 12 saves for Dartmouth, her second-best performance in Big Green colors. Dartmouth remains on the road for its next contest, a visit to Penn on Saturday.
