LEBANON — Lebanon Post 22 locked down the second District A seed for the upcoming New Hampshire American Legion senior state tournament by holding off Manchester’s Sweeney Post, 12-10, at Lebanon High School on Saturday.

Trey Parker earned the win on the mound with a pair of appearances. He threw the first four frames and left with a 10-1 lead. Sweeney (11-7) mounted a furious rally after Post 22’s lead stretched to 12-1, requriring a second Parker visit in the seventh inning to clinch the victory. Parker ended up striking out eight on the day and allowing just three hits and one run.

Trey Chickering led a 13-hit assault with a 3-for-4 day and three runs scored. Andrew Hadlock had three hits for Post 22, and Kegan Silovich and Cody Turgeon followed with two apiece.

Lebanon (12-6) will meet Rochester Post 9 (10-7), the third seed out of Distict B, to open the state tournament on Friday at Holman Stadium in Nashua.
