Ceagin Darling, of Enfield, N.H., fishes along the Mascoma River in Enfield on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024. Monday was his day off and he often fishes on his day off. "I've had a good season so far, I have no complaints,” he said. On this day he was not having much luck. “You have those days where you skunk out," Darling said. He releases the fish he catches. Last week he caught a pair of two-pound bass. (Jennifer Hauck) Copyright Valley News. May not be reprinted or used online without permission. Send requests to permission@vnews.com.
