HANOVER — The Dartmouth College women’s lacrosse team returned to Scully-Faney Field on Sunday for its first competition in more than 400 days, losing an 11-5 decision to Tufts.

The Jumbos (5-0) jumped out to an early lead and never relinquished it. The Big Green (0-1) spread its scoring around five players: seniors Veta Mayer and Michelle Yu, sophomore Nina Nessebush and freshmen Victoria Norchi and Jenna Donohue.

Emily Games had a team-high four goals for the visitors.

“I’m pleased that we were able to give our seniors one more chance to play at Scully-Fahey and give them the proper send-off,” Dartmouth coach Alex Frank said in a news release. “We’re also happy that our younger players had their first opportunities to get out on this field and see what makes it so special.”

Rookie Tamer Luzi made 13 saves in the Big Green goal.
