WEST LEBANON — Lane closures due to construction on the southbound Interstate 89 bridge connecting Lebanon and Hartford may cause delays next week.
The right lane on I-89 in Lebanon and Hartford will be closed during daytime hours from Tuesday, Nov. 19, Thursday, Nov. 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 26 so construction crews can place concrete on the southbound bridge deck, according to a Friday news release from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
During the lane closures, the I-91 northbound Exit 10A ramp for I-89 will also be closed. As a detour, motorists will be directed to take I-91 northbound Exit 12 in Wilder to reverse directions to I-91 southbound and use the Exit 10A southbound ramp for I-89.
Construction is expected to last from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. for three days but could be delayed by weather, according to the news release.
The construction is part of a larger $43 million project to rehabilitate and widen the bridge. The entire project, contracted by R.S. Audley, of Bow, is scheduled to be completed in September 2026.
