LEBANON, NH — Arlene E. Arnold of Lebanon, N.H. passed away at the Jack Byrne Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock on Monday November 4th when she lost her battle with cancer. She was born on April 2, 1931 to Newt and Fannie (Fiske) Dennis of Groton, Vermont. She was 88. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence (Joe) Arnold in 1998 and Fred Aldrich, her companion of eight years, in 2018. She was also predeceased by her brothers Robert and Eugene Dennis, and sister Jessie Pierce all of Groton, Vt. She is survived by her daughters Connie Dexter of Winter Haven, FL; Kathy Jordan of Naples, FL; and Glenda Johnson of Grantham, NH. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arlene always had a smile and loved being around people. She started her career in nursing and later switched to retail working for Shopping International, and later worked at the PowerHouse for several years.

Arlene loved cooking, baking and gardening. Often people would stop and compliment her for her beautiful flower gardens. In her younger days she enjoyed dancing and bowling. She was fun and caring.

There will be no calling hours or funeral. Family and friends are invited to Arlene’s graveside service on November 29th, 2019 at 10 am at the Glenwood Cemetery in Lebanon.
