Horneck elected to Woodstock Village Board of Trustees

WOODSTOCK — In ballot voting on Tuesday, Frank Horneck narrowly won a two-year term on the Woodstock Village Board of Trustees.

Horneck, with 53 votes, bested Lisa Lawlor, who earned 49 votes.

In an uncontested race, Jeffrey Kahn earned a three-year term on the board.

During the floor meeting on Tuesday evening, voters approved an amended budget of $1.54 million, which is up about 5% from the current year. From the floor, voters removed the cost of other articles from the budget article.

Voters also approved $3,000 for village beautification projects and seasonal decorations, as well as $400 each for the Trustee of Public Funds and for auditing the Public Trust Funds.
