LEBANON — A 37-year-old Windsor man has been charged with attempted sexual assault after he arrived at a city park to meet a person who he thought was a juvenile for sex acts.

Jason Bessent pleaded not guilty on Monday in Grafton County Superior Court to felonious sexual assault, sexual assault and two counts of computer services prohibited. He was released on a $10,000 unsecured appearance bond.

As part of a cyber crimes investigation, Lebanon police engaged in an online conversation with Bessent, prompting him to drive to the park on March 1, according to a news release. Once there, he met an officer.

No child was harmed.

He was held over the weekend and arraigned on Monday.
