BETHEL — White River Valley Middle School Principal Owen Bradley will take a medical leave beginning Nov. 28, according to messages he and Superintendent Jamie Kinnarney sent to the community this week.

Bradley, who is seeking treatment for a lung condition, is expected to return in March before retiring at the end of this school year.

In Bradley’s absence, Pam Arnold will serve as interim principal of the middle school in Bethel, which also serves students from Royalton, according to Kinnarney’s email. Arnold was principal of Main Street Middle School in Montpelier from 2006-2020.

The district also will be moving forward with a search for a permanent replacement for Bradley, details of which Kinnarney said he will share during the week of Nov. 28.
