WEST WINDSOR — Voters approved changing from a calendar year schedule to a fiscal year schedule during an in-person Special Town Meeting Saturday morning.

Voters supported the change, 65-15, West Windsor Town Clerk Amy Yates said in a phone interview Monday. There are 1,104 voters on the town’s checklist.

The new schedule will officially take effect on July 1, 2026, West Windsor Town Administrator Matt Frederick said. At Town Meeting in March, the Selectboard will present voters with an 18-month budget proposal covering Jan. 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, to transition from the calendar year schedule to the fiscal year schedule.

With that proposal, the Selectboard will also ask voters in March if they would like to change from an annual tax collection schedule to a semi-annual tax collection schedule, Frederick said.
