Voters approve West Windsor town officer changes

WEST WINDSOR — In paper ballot votes from Tuesday’s floor meeting, West Windsor voters opted to allow the Selectboard to appoint a town clerk and town treasurer.

The vote on the town clerk article was approved 64 to 47, while the vote on town treasurer was 79 to 18.

They also approved an article to eliminate the position of town lister and appoint a professional assessor.

The approved a budget of $1.67 million, which includes $645,000 for the general fund, $977,000 for the highway fund, $48,000 for the library and $1,000 for the cemetery. Of that, $1.27 million is to come from taxes.

Voters elected John Brodie to a three-year term on the Selectboard.
