CLAREMONT — West Central Behavioral Health has launched a new program to provide patients in Claremont with medical care along with mental health treatment, according to a news release.
West Central, the Lebanon-based nonprofit community mental health center serving the Upper Valley and Sullivan County regions of New Hampshire, has partnered with the Claremont-based Keady Family Practice to launch an integrated care program at West Central’s adult clinic at 52 West Pleasant St.
The effort aims to make primary medical care more accessible for West Central’s clients and allow providers to “treat the whole person,” according to the release.
The goal is to improve clinicians’ understanding of how patients’ physical health conditions and mental health conditions may be related, thereby improving diagnosis and treatment, as well as patients’ quality of life.
