Cornish — Elisabeth Mary Maslan and Jesse James Schaal were married on Oct. 7, 2017, in a garden wedding at the home of the bride’s Uncle Leo and Aunt Kathleen in Cornish.

The wedding was officiated by BJ Ocker. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Tori Maslan. The bridesmaids were Jordi Schaal, the bridegroom’s sister, and Kaylee Conti and Ashley Miller. The best man was Ryan Hoisington. The junior groomsman was Benjamin Almstrom, the bride’s cousin. The groomsmen were Parker Robinson, Mitchell Dorain and Tommy Coates. The flower girls were Brenna Sullivan and Avery Conti. The ring bearer was the bride’s cousin Carson Almstrom.

The wedding cake was made by the bridegrooms sister Jordi Schaal. The father-daughter dance song, I Loved Her First, was sung by the bride’s cousin, Jeremy Almstrom.

The bride is the daughter of Jerome and Amy Maslan, of Claremont. She is the granddaughter of the late Barbara Roberts of Newport, and of the late Robert and Mary Maslan, of Cornish. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and child development from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester and earned a master’s degree in higher education from New England College in Henniker, N.H. She is employed as a preschool teacher at 4 Corners Children’s Center in Hartland.

The bridegroom is the son of Todd and Marcy Schaal, of Hartford, and the grandson of Peter and Gail Schaal, of Hartford. He is also the grandson of the late Timmie and Jack Barber, of Windsor. He graduated from Hartford High School and the Vermont Correctional Academy. He is employed by the Vermont Agency of Transportation District 4.

The couple honeymooned in Niagara Falls, Canada, and lives in Brownsville.
