NORTH HAVERHILL — A 28-year-old Vermont man who was arrested in July after being sought on a warrant for more than a year after he outran police during a vehicle chase through downtown Hanover has pleaded guilty to driving with a revoked license and reckless conduct, and has been sentenced to 12 months in the Grafton County House of Corrections.

Dustin Sheltra will serve his sentence in Vermont prison concurrently with sentences he received for crimes he committed in Vermont prior to the New Hampshire charges, according to court documents.

Sheltra was being pursued by police in a high-speed vehicle chase through Hartford in 2023 when he crossed over into New Hampshire and drove through downtown Hanover where he ignored police attempts to flag him down before proceeding in the direction of Lebanon when police lost track of his vehicle, police said at the time.

Sheltra, most recently of West Charleston, Vt., is currently incarcerated at Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury where he is serving sentences on convictions of burglary, petit larceny, cocaine possession, unlawful mischief, eluding a law enforcement officer and violation of conditions of release, according to Vermont state court records.
