Volunteers NeededTo Prepare Lunch in WRJ

White River Junction — The Hartford Community Coalition’s Take a Bite out of Hunger and Lebanon Lunch Friends programs are looking for volunteers to help prepare lunches from 9-11 a.m. daily at the White River School, 102 Pine St.

The programs provide breakfasts and lunches for area families over summer vacation, beginning Monday. Last summer, more than 600 volunteers prepared more than 17,000 meals that were distributed in Hartford and Lebanon.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, although children under 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult. High school students can get community service hours by volunteering.
