VERSHIRE — Voters approved a $438,000 general fund budget during Australian ballot voting on Tuesday.
They also OK’d $578,489 for the highway department and $71,000 for Vershire Fire and Rescue. Vernal Stone was re-elected to a three-year term on the Selectboard.
All articles discussed during the floor vote — including a five-year tax exemption for Vershire Fire and Rescue’s 9111 VT Route 113 property, $20,000 to repaint the Town Center Building and $19,000 for a new heating-cooling system in the Log Cabin — were approved, according to a Listserv post from Town Clerk Gene Craft.
