SUNDAY (May 28)

Norwich Memorial Day Observance, Picnic and Music: Begins at 11:45 a.m. with honors at the bridge on Beaver Meadow Road. Veterans will then proceed to Fairview Cemetery for honors at Alden Partridge’s grave site. From there, the group will proceed to the Veterans Memorial Area near the flag at Tracy Hall for remarks and honors, concluding with the national anthem. The observance will be followed by the traditional free hot dogs and lemonade picnic on the Green, along with a mini concert of military service music courtesy of the Upper Valley Community Band. 802-296-3123 or norwichpost8@aol.com.

MONDAY (May 29)

Canaan: 9 a.m., Town Common, junction of routes 4 and 118. The Mascoma Valley Regional High School band will perform. Canaan American Legion Post 55 will provide the color guard. 603-523-4501.

Claremont: Memorial Day parade begins at 10 a.m. at Claremont Middle School and ends at Broad Street Park, where a ceremony will take place. 603-542-9222.

Lebanon: Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Hanover Street near Route 120 and Eldridge Street, pauses briefly at the Hanover Street bridge for a service, then continues around Colburn Park before entering the park through the gate near the post office for a ceremony. Open house at Soldiers Memorial Building follows ceremony. Hosted by American Legion Post 22 in Lebanon. 603-448-3429.

Enfield: Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Main Street near the police station (19 Main St.), then goes up Route 4 and stops at the Veterans’ Memorial Park. It will then travel to Oak Grove Cemetery, go back onto Main Street to the bridge by Copeland Block and end back at Whitney Hall. Tunbridge: The day begins at 10:30 a.m. at Town Hall (271 Route 110) with a program in celebrating women veterans from Tunbridge. Parade, with “Honoring Our Heroes” theme, starts at 11 a.m., and will be followed by a dedication at the town cemetery and a chicken barbecue to benefit the Tunbridge Volunteer Fire Department. 802-889-3571.

Windsor: Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Windsor School, 127 State St., and ends at Constitution Common where a wreath laying ceremony will take place. The ceremony, hosted by the American Legion, will feature guest speakers. Rain location: school auditorium. 802-674-9967.

Piermont: The parade begins 11 a.m. at the Piermont Church on Church Street and will proceed to the Piermont Veterans Memorial Garden in the South Lawn Cemetery for services. 650-269-3399.

TUESDAY (May 30)

Cornish: 10 a.m. Meetinghouse Green, Cornish Stage Road and Route 120, Cornish Flat. Following the service, refreshments will be served. 603-675-5611.

Hartford: Ceremony starts at Maple Street Cemetery off Route 14 at 10:30 a.m., where members of the Hartford Veterans Council will lay a wreath. The group will drive to Town Hall in White River Junction to lay a wreath, before driving across Bridge Street to lay a wreath at Veterans Memorial Park. At 11 a.m., the Bridge Street bridge will be closed and the group will march out to the middle of the bridge to toss a wreath in the river. 603-369-0329.
