Article of note: “Shall the Town withdraw from the First Branch Unified School District?”
The First Branch Unified School District (FBUD) merges Tunbridge and Chelsea elementary and middle schools into one district. Chelsea residents will vote on whether or not to withdraw from FBUD during Town Meeting on March 1. If Chelsea votes to withdraw from FBUD, this would force the same vote in Tunbridge in May.
Contested races: There are no contested races this year.
Budgets and spending articles: The municipal budget for 2022 is $1,383,003. The school budget (First Branch Unified School District budget) is $6,990,960, and will be voted on on May 21 (Tunbridge Town Meeting Day).
When, where and how to vote: Chelsea Town Meeting will be held on March 1, 2022, at the Chelsea Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Town Hall is located at 296 VT-110, Chelsea, VT 05038.
