THETFORD — Thetford announced that Tom Yennerell will serve as interim town manager for about six weeks in a web post on Monday.

The Selectboard has offered the permanent town manager position to a candidate, but has not made an official announcement of employment, the post said.

The position became vacant when former Town Manager Bryan Gazda, who started in early 2021, left to take a job as director of public works in Hartford earlier this year.

Yennerell, who runs the Springfield, Vt.-based Municipal Management Services Inc., served as Thetford's interim town manager in 2020 and served as interim manager in Woodstock last year. He previously served as Springfield (Vt.) town manager and as a municipal administrator in Henniker, N.H., West Rutland, Vt., and Marcos, Colorado.
