Walking the real Maple Avenue in Lebanon

  • Heidi Bundy remembers helping tend 3,000 taps in her family's maple orchard on Tomapo Farm whe she was a kid. Bundy walked the sap lines on the farm in Lebanon, N.H., Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, placing some of the 1,600 taps that she now uses to collect sap by vacuum. The farm has been in Bundy's family for ten generations, since 1763 and she said every generation has tried something a little different. Over the 250 years since the land was cleared, it has produced sheep, walnuts and butternuts, dairy, and is now primarily managed as woodland. (Valley News - James M.
