LACONIA, N.H. — The Upper Valley Anglers 19Us used a three-run fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie en route to a 6-2 win over Lakes Region in a New Hampshire COVID Baseball League game at Robbie Mills Park on Friday night.

Ben Williams (Hanover High) singled to get the winning rally started, moving to second base when Trey Chickering (Proctor Academy) walked. Keegan Silovich (Hanover) broke the deadlock with a two-run double, later coming home on a two-out RBI single from Kyle Young (KUA).

Jack Loftus (Hanover) added an insurance run in the seventh, walking and eventually scoring on a two-out run-scoring single from Nolan Gantrish (Hanover).

A two-run third enabled Upper Valley (9-7) to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead. Lakes Region (7-9) leveled the contest at 2-2 in the home fourth.

Williams finished the night 4-for-4 with one run for the Anglers, who had 12 hits as a team. Silovich went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs. Loftus and Gantrish contributed two-hit games, and Young grabbed the win on the mound.

Upper Valley visits the Nashua Defenders on Saturday.
