Styrofoam recycling returns to Lebanon on Saturday

LEBANON — Sustainable Lebanon and Lebanon Rotary will be collecting Styrofoam for recycling on Saturday morning. 

The collection accepts No. 6 Styrofoam, which largely includes blocks of packaging foam used for TVs and appliances, Styrofoam coolers, food containers, cups, and egg cartons. Styrofoam must be clean and dry, with all labels and tape removed. 

Styrofoam peanuts are not accepted. 

The collection will be at 227 Mechanic Street, behind Jake’s Coffee in Lebanon, from 9 to 11 a.m.

The event is free, but donations to support the cost of the collection can be made in cash at the event, online at the Sustainable Lebanon Facebook page, or by check, payable to Sustainable Lebanon.
