Three Democrats win Windsor Senate seats

Three Democrats, including two incumbents, beat out three Republicans to represent the Windsor Senate district.

Democrats Alison Clarkson, of Woodstock, and Dick McCormack, of Bethel, successfully campaigned alongside state Rep. Becca White, of Hartford. Clarkson earned the most votes, with 17,027; followed by White with 16,728 and McCormack with 16,523.        

They beat out Republicans Dana Colson, of Sharon; Bill Huff, of Thetford; and Alice Flanders, of Hartford. Flanders led the Republicans with 7,729 votes;  followed by Colson with 7,571 votes; and Huff with 7,162.
