SHARON – The Sharon Rest Area along Interstate 89 north in Sharon was closed around noon on Friday because of a propane leak at the facility, according to the Vermont Agency of Transportation.
The ramp to the rest area was closed to traffic, and there was no public access to the rest area building or parking lot, VTrans said in a news release.
It also said there was no threat to the public, but that there was no timetable yet for reopening the facility.
