Royalton voters approve $1.5 million bond for North Road

ROYALTON — Voters on Tuesday approved a $1.5 million bond for repaving and culvert replacement on North Road.
The bond article passed 225-53, according to results provided by Town Clerk Karmen Bascom. There are 2,084 voters on the town’s checklist.
The project will repave 2.2 miles of North Road and replace approximately 13 culverts.
The town has been awarded a $200,000 paving grant from VTrans for the project, Town Administrator Victoria Paquin said by email Wednesday. The town will apply to the Vermont Bond Bank for funding, with a repayment term not to exceed 30 years.
