ROYALTON — Route 14 between Vesper Road and Meadow Lane has reopened.

The stretch of the state highway in Royalton was closed for about two weeks before reopening on Monday to allow for the replacement of a railroad bridge that crosses over Route 14.

There are now two lanes of traffic under the railroad bridge, instead of the one lane that previously existed.

The $9.1 million project, which is being overseen by the Vermont Agency of Transportation, is expected to be completed this fall.
