Raymond, N.H. — Ronald J. Sears, 72, of Farmington, formerly of Raymond, died on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Langdon Place in Dover, N.H.
He was born in New York, N.Y., on March 2, 1944, to Joseph Ronald Toretto and Laura Jean Whitney
Ron was raised by his Grandmother Elizabeth Perry, upon her passing was adopted by Ralph Sears located in Hartford, Vt. attending Hartford Schools.
Having a love for law enforcement, he entered the field in the 50’s and 60’s. After law enforcement he moved on to his other love - auto repair. He started out on his own with many endeavors, Sykes Ave.Tire & Auto, Ron’s Tire and Tip Top Tire. He also endured other passions owning Ron’s Taxi and Limo, Ron’s Transit and more recently with Wal*Mart, O’Reilly’s and Fisher Auto.
Ron was predeceased by his partner of 17 years, Doris M. Gagnon of Raymond, His brother; Allston Sears of Vt. He is survived by his daughter; Laura Emmons and her husband Joe of Hartford, Vt.; his son, Brian Sears of White River Junction., Vt.; his grandson, Scott Tracy of Hartford; two step-sons, Steven Gagnon and wife Kathleen of Farmington, Robert Gagnon and wife Moranda of Manchester, N.H.; his step-granddaughter, Audrey Gagnon also of Manchester; his sister, Claire (Sears) Carpenter of Vt.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including Kristopher Minor and wife Lindsey of Raymond.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond, N.H. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond.
