Windsor, Vt. — Ricky A. Kendall, 52, a longtime resident of Windsor, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, June 3, 2018, at his home in Windsor.
He was born Oct. 23, 1965, in Claremont, N.H. the son of Richard and Irma (Jarvis) Kendall. He received his schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1984. He married Donna Buchanan in Windsor on July 9, 1988. Rick began his long career in the automotive business at Hodgdon Brothers Garage in Ascutney. He was later employed at the former Carriage House Garage in Windsor in the parts department and then at Smith Auto in Lebanon for several years. He went on to Auto Mall in Brattleboro and was currently employed as parts manager at Gerrish Honda in Lebanon.
He was a member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge #2099. He was an automobile enthusiast who also enjoyed hunting, camping and working in his garage. He was happy to help family and friends with various projects. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and one son, Jason Kendall in 2015.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Kendall; one son, Scott Kendall and one daughter, Sarah Kendall, all of Windsor; four grandchildren; one brother, Gary Kendall of Germany; three sisters, Vicky Paulus and Tammy Poblano, both of Arizona and Yolanda Sommer of Alaska; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at the American Legion Post #25 in Windsor on Tuesday, June 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Committal services will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor.
