BARRE, Vt. — A 32-year-old Randolph area woman and self-styled Bonnie Parker who had been previously charged with a multi-county crime spree and was sought on an arrest warrant has been apprehended and charged with robbing a convenience store in Northfield, Vt.

Amanda Conant was arrested by Northfield Police on Jan. 29 and pleaded not guilty in Washington County Superior Court in Barre on Feb. 9 to charges of robbing the Convenience Plus store of $861 in Northfield last November.

Conant, who had multiple warrants out for her arrest for not responding to court dates on other charges, is being detained at Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington pending deposit of a $20,000 surety bond, according to Vermont court and Department of Corrections records.

Conant, along with alleged accomplice Kevin Bent, also of Randolph, were charged in a string of property crimes in 2021, including stealing a Jeep from a residence in Pomfret on which they spray painted the words “Bonnie and Clyde 2021,” according to police at the time.

Bent, 34, pleaded guilty last October to numerous pending charges in Windsor, Orange, Washington and Addison counties, including burglary, impeding a police officer and unlawful mischief. He was sentenced to a total of 4 to 10 years in state prison, all suspended except to serve 2 years and placed on probation for 10 years, according to Vermont court records.

Bent is currently incarcerated at Northern State Correctional Facility in Newport, Vt., according to DOC records.
